Welcome back to Hartwell Dentistry’s blog. Today we are introducting our hygiene team.

I was born in Melbourne and educated at Carey Baptist Grammar before graduating from Oral Health Therapy from the University of Melbourne in 2008.

I have worked mainly in private practices but both in metropolitan and rural settings, enjoying a variety of experiences in the dental field. I have currently been working with Hartwell Dentistry since 2010.

Although having a few years experience, I love to learn and continue my dental education regularly to provide the highest quality of dental care. My aim as a hygienist and therapist is to achieve lifetime dental results using a preventative and holistic approach to oral health.

Outside of the dental world, I enjoy going to church, playing soccer, travelling and supporting the mighty Hawks.

I was born and grew up in Melbourne. Initially educated at Sacred Heart Girls’ College, I received a scholarship to complete year 11 and 12 at Haileybury Girls’ College. I went straight to university to complete the Bachelor of Oral Health in 2011.

My passion for dentistry stems from being able to make a difference. A patient’s fundamental understanding of oral health leads to overall health – and I feel a sense of accomplishment when patients are able to understand the basics to achieving optimum oral health.

My first and current job at the Royal Dental Hospital of Melbourne formed the basis of my experience in treating people with severe gum disease. I place the highest importance in prevention, as that is the key to a lifetime of good dental health. Despite recently joining Hartwell Dental Excellence, I believe that as a hygienist and therapist, I am an integral part of the dental team in preventing dental diseases and maintaining oral health.

Between juggling my time with my three younger brothers and my boyfriend, I also do origami, enjoy fine dining, movies, gym and especially love shopping!

As you can see, we have a very dedicated team with prevention as their goal for each and everyone of their patients.
