Matthew – Oral Health Therapist
I was born in Melbourne and educated at Carey Baptist Grammar before graduating in Oral Health Therapy from the University of Melbourne in 2008. Throughout the Oral Health Therapy program, I thoroughly enjoyed the preventative side of dentistry and have made it the focus for my career.
I was fortunate to work in several fields both in rural and metropolitan settings; working with special needs services both in the country and at the Royal Melbourne Dental Hospital. I have been working in private practice for over five years and enjoy a wealth of experience in preventing gum and bone diseases.
I have been with Hartwell Dentistry since 2010, and I have taken the position of Head of its successful Oral Health Department. I work alongside Amy Doyle, the Oral Health Coordinator, and Megan Thwaites our dental hygienist.
I love to learn and continue my dental education regularly to provide the highest quality of dental care. My aim as a oral health therapist is to achieve lifetime dental results using a preventative and holistic approach to oral health.
Outside of the dental world, I am on the Soccer Committee at Old Carey Football Club. I support the Mighty Hawks! I have also been teaching Sunday school for over five years and sit on a Committee board at my local Church.
